What is the future of Video on Internet

As I see it video on the internet will soon be available on your mobile and TV sets and will bring in a massive change in the overall viewing pattern of majority people. First of all video on internet offer more options than fixed channel surfing with your Dish TV or BSkyb box - it allows you to choose media from unlimited genre, duration, geographical and even demographical region.

Video on the internet is also user generated and user rated - which effectively means that you can check the rating and comments and then decide whether or not you intend to view the video. It also offers on-demand in true sense and you can view it at your leisure and in any device ( internet connected) of your choice.

Right now Google is clearly way ahead than others in exploring options for video and the internet and planning to come up with free set-top boxes initially for North American territory. For more on Google plans on video clips read this article.
